We have Achieved GOLD!

3rd Nov, 26

We are absolutely delighted to share the fantastic news that our school has once again achieved Transport for London (TfL) Gold Accreditation! This is a wonderful achievement and recognises our commitment to promoting safe, sustainable and active travel within our school community for almost two decades now, Mashallah. Achieving Gold status reflects the positive steps we have taken to encourage our pupils and families to make healthier and more environmentally friendly choices when travelling to and from school.

Through our ongoing efforts to raise awareness of road safety, promote walking, cycling and encourage the use of public transport, we are helping our pupils develop positive travel habits that can last a lifetime. These initiatives not only support our pupils' health and wellbeing but also help to reduce congestion and pollution around the school gates, making our local community a safer and cleaner place for everyone.

We would like to thank our dedicated staff, enthusiastic pupils and supportive families for playing their part in this achievement. Reaching Gold Accreditation is something we can all be proud of, and we look forward to continuing our work to make active and sustainable travel a key part of school life. Well done to our whole school community on this outstanding achievement!

Father's Parenting Group – Supporting Fathers in Their Parenting Journey

3rd Nov, 26

We are pleased to share details of an upcoming Father's Parenting Group, delivered at Ihsan Children’s Centre in collaboration with Imam Hashim from NLMCC.

The sessions will incorporate Islamic perspectives and are designed to support Muslim fathers in developing positive and nurturing relationships with their children.

Although the group is primarily aimed at fathers of children aged 0–5 years, fathers with slightly older children are also welcome. The sessions will be tailored to reflect the needs, experiences and values of the Muslim community.

What will the sessions cover?

  • Building positive and meaningful relationships with children.

  • Understanding children's behaviour and developmental needs.

  • Developing confidence and strengthening parenting skills.

  • Exploring parenting through an Islamic perspective.

Who can attend?

The group is open to fathers who are residents of Hackney. Sessions will take place in the evenings to make attendance more accessible for working fathers.

We encourage fathers in our school community who may benefit from this opportunity to find out more and consider attending.

How to register or find out more

For further information, including session dates and registration details, please contact Ihsan Children’s Centre directly.

We hope many fathers will take advantage of this opportunity to connect, share experiences and strengthen their parenting journey.
