Trip To The House of Parliament

Year 9 pupils had a tour around the Palace of Westminster, learning about the history of Parliament. Pupils also learnt and explored the art and architecture of the buildings which have come to be so recognised. This experience was great for our pupils as it gave them a  first-hand unique experience of the Palace of Westminster through a focused, educational  tour. During the visit, pupils visited the House of Commons and the House of Lords, Westminster Hall and the Central lobby. As the General Elections are coming up, the timing of this trip was very relevant, as it gave pupils an insight into how politicians go about their day-to-day duties and how the government runs our country. 5-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT 2015

Another highly successful 5 -a-side tournament took place on the last day of term. In the junior event, Hudeybiah A once again triumphed and became the first team to retain the trophy. Sultan Keji in year 8 was largely responsible for this and finished the day as the tournament’s top scorer. The game was won in dramatic fashion; the teams were locked at 1-1 in the dying seconds and were fully expecting a penalty shoot out when Sultan fired in an unstoppable free kick which was immediately followed by the final whistle. Much credit must go to the rest of the team also which included some solid defensive performances from Bilal Husain and also goal of the tournament...
