On Tuesday 9th September, our Year 11 students visited the newly built Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, East London, as part of their GCSE Geography Controlled Assessment project on Brownfield Sites. The students spent most of the day visiting various sites within Stratford which are related to their investigation. In particular, they visited SweetWater, Fish Island, Westfield Stratford City and East Village. This one day fieldwork trip proved to be very beneficial for the students as they managed to gain vital research data which will assist them in their controlled assessment.
