On the 30th of April, Year 8 visited the Jewish Museum to learn about Jewish lifestyle and history. Upon arriving, we were presented with a few Jewish items, such as Kippurs, Torah holders and various verses of the Torah. After this, we walked around the museum, looking at different artefacts of Jewish history, such as a large Torah container and a painting depicting a Rabbi holding a Torah, being followed by a large group of people eager to learn. After this we tried using feather quills and ink to write our names in He-brew, followed by a question and answer where we could get our queries about Judaism answered. Overall, the day was very fun and the different pieces of Jewish history were captivating and interesting, and we left feeling amazed and shocked at how astonishing the Jewish religion is.
