During this half-term Year 7 – 9 pupils from Tawhid Boys School have been taking part in a national fundraising project for Ummah Welfare Trust. Kidz 4 Kidz is an annual fundraising campaign in which school children from across the UK raise money for the less-fortunate around the world.
Over £200,000 was raised last year, with the money being used to provide gifts and clothes to thousands of war-affected children in Syria and Palestine.
Ummah Welfare Trust wants to bring smiles to more children who are in need and Tawhid Boys School has chosen to take part once again this year. Money raised this year will be used to:
—Support poor teachers in Burma and Pakistan
– Sponsor orphans in around the world
– Install hand water pumps for poor communities in the Philippines
– Support children with special needs in Pakistan
As a reward for pupil’s efforts, Ummah Welfare Trust will provide all fundraisers with a gift; while the top fundraiser in each region will receive an Android tablet loaded with Islamic content.
