GCSE Results

Allhamdoulillah, we have achieved excellent GCSE results this summer.

July 2007 - 5+ (A*-C) inc Maths & English = 81%

The GCSE Certificate Presentation Evening took place on the 9th November 2007. Pupils were awarded their certificates and a memoir from the school. Brother Ibrahim Hewitt, Headteacher Al-Aqsa Primary School, Leicester, was the guest of honour at the presentation ceremony. We would like to thank all our Staff who have worked hard and provided the additional booster sessions. Your efforts will be rewarded in both worlds, Inshallah.

Our GCSE results are above Hackney and in line with the national average. Below are the results in each subject.

From 2000 - 2005

Our second Key Stage 2 cohort took their SATs exams in May 2002 and the same class took Key Stage 3 SATs in May 2005. The percentage of expected levels at each Key Stage in most subjects have improved over the three years indicating overall pupils made good progress throughout Key Stage 3. In real terms this is a better reflection of the school's progress than comparisons with other Statistics. The progress of a child is monitored more closely when such comparisons are made. Inshallah, we will work hard to strive and attain the best academic results for all our pupils.

Key Stage 2 SATs Results (2005)

The transition between year 5 primary and year 6 into Tawhid has not been a smooth one for some pupils. This is an underlining factor causing our Key Stage 2 results to drop in all subjects performing below local and national expected levels. This was a cause for concern and as a result a strategy to allocate our qualified subject specialist teachers to teach some year 6 lessons was implemented last September. Key Stage 2 performance will be closely monitored in the coming year.

Key Stage 3 SATs Results (2005)

Allhamdoulillah, our Key Stage 3 results have continued to progress and attain higher then the local and inline with National results in most subjects. In particular, pupils in English outperformed all other state secondary schools in Hackney coming join first. In Mathematics and Science the School came second amongst the state schools. We will Inshallah strive to achieve the highest academic excellence for all our pupils.
