FSC Fieldwork Trip in Geography and Science

strat pupils

Pupils engaged in a joint Geography and Science field work trip, conducted by the Field Studies Council London. They focused on climate and weather change around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and surrounding areas within Stratford. Pupils were be able to demonstrate on a practical level, how to measure climate and weather change using various Geographical and Scientific equipment. Also, pupils had an opportunity to visit various tourist sites within Stratford, notably: Westfield Shopping Centre, East Village, Stratford New Town and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. By visiting these sites, our pupils were able to undertake Environmental Surveys and analyse the differences in the quality of living within these chosen locations. Overall, the trip was very beneficial for our pupils as it enhanced their knowledge and learning skills in Geography and Science.
