Human Rights Day: Amnesty International Visit Tawhid...

On Tuesday 8th and 11th December, Students at Tawhid Boys School received a very special visit from two very influential speakers from Amnesty International, as part of Human Rights Day and Awareness Week. Wendy Chuung (a leading Human Rights Speaker and Campaigner) and Dan Jones (Education Adviser for Amnesty International and has been tirelessly campaigning with Amnesty International since 1961. He was also shortlisted for ITV’s Pride of Britain Local Heroes Award in 2012)   Both speakers covered many aspects of human rights and delivered important and inspirational messages to our pupils. Pupils help the elderly

Over the past four years Tawhid Boys School have been providing food for the elderly by teaming up with AGE UK. Once again we have raised awareness of helping the poor and needy. Pupils bought in food and drink to give to the elderly during the winter. This has been an ongoing campaign for the past four years and it demonstrates our commitment as a School to help the wider community, which also involves catering for the elderly community. Chair of Governors Meets Stephen Williams(MP)...

The chair of governors Mr Alibhai and Mr Mapara attended a community meeting with various local community leaders and Stephen Williams, MP (Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government).As Minister for Communities, his responsibilities also include community cohesion and race relations. The meeting focused on a range of community related issues and initiatives that have been formed between the Muslim and Jewish community of Stamford Hill to promote community cohesion, respect and tolerance. 10th Graduation Ceremony held at Tawhid...

    Tawhid has once again performed above the local and National averages. Alhamdulillah we have seen a significant improvement in our GCSE grades in June 2014. Our Aspiring to Achieve programme Mashallah has raised pupil’s aspirations. We would like to thank all the teachers for their continuous hard work and encouragement to the pupils in raising the achievement to a high level.   We would like to congratulate all the students for their achievements and hard work throughout their time at Tawhid.
